Coronavirus COVID-19 Updates

Last updated at 09.30 02/07/2020

A face covering is now mandatory on public transport as of Monday June 29th. Doing so will increase protection for other customers and for public transport workers. As capacity increases the recommended 2 metre social distancing may not always be possible, a cloth face coverings may also help prevent people who do not know they have the virus from spreading it to others. Guidance on safe use of face coverings can be accessed here.

Some public transport timetables have now returned to normal, public transport  should still only be used by essential workers or for other people making essential journeys. We advise not to travel during peak times where possible. We are strongly encouraging those people who can get to their destinations by walking or cycling to do so. For further information on these measures please visit Gov.ie.

Anyone who enters Ireland via airport or ferry will have to complete an Irish public health passenger locator form, must avoid public transport from the airport or the ports to protect against the spread of COVID-19 and must self-isolate for 14 days
